Objectives

Our main objectives of our department are:

1. To develop, maintain and stimulate students' curiosity, interest and enjoyment in information technology.
2. To develop students with appropriate flexible Information Technology skills, concepts, principles, methods and vocabulary.
3. To make Information Technology a natural tool for staff and students to use and to allow them to integrate it into their daily academic, administrative and leisure activities.
4. To enable all students to have equal access to Information Technology and to experience success in their work.
5. To encourage all subject teachers to see how Information Technology and their subject expertise fit together to enable the use and delivery of Information Technology as well as the teaching of their own discipline.
6. To enhance the quality of teaching and learning experiences for all.
7. To encourage students to use Information Technology resources as an information source, a processor and presentation tool.
8. To ensure that students experience a variety of Information Technology equipment, including, but not only, computers and software.
9. To use information technology, where possible, to improve the quality and range of management information, as well as to enhance the school’s administrative procedures and its communication with parents and other outside agencies.
10. To ensure that Information Technology is a necessary part of the overall development plan for the School and not a separate aspect.
